Miss Ngoc Han said that this business trip was an invitation from the Venezuelan Ministry of Tourism to participate in tourism promotion activities within the framework of the Venezuela International Tourism Fair 2024.
This is also the first time Miss Ngoc Han has had the opportunity to set foot in a South American country. Before the trip, she devoted much effort to designing ao dai models inspired by this country so that she could wear them during exchange activities.
"I was fascinated by the details on the Venezuelan flag and coat of arms. The blue, yellow, and red are not just colors, but also stories about history and people. The purple magnolia - the typical flower of the South American country - becomes a subtle highlight on the skirt.
I hope the Ao Dai will leave a beautiful impression on my Venezuelan friends. I hope each of my designs will be a soft cultural bridge so that international friends will love and understand more about the people, culture and country of Vietnam" - Miss Ngoc Han shared.
To get to Venezuela, Miss Ngoc Han had to spend nearly 50 hours flying and connecting flights. This was the longest flight the beauty had ever experienced, so she was quite tired from traveling.
Having just arrived in the South American country, the beauty queen quickly prepared for scheduled activities, especially the main event - the Venezuela International Tourism Fair 2024 in Tachira, where representatives from nearly 50 countries around the world participated.
With Ao Dai designs inspired by Kim Hoang paintings and the new collection "Ha Thanh's features", Miss Ngoc Han displayed them at the Vietnamese booth so that international visitors could admire, try on and better understand the traditional costumes.
A special memory that Miss Ngoc Han had during this business trip was that she and MC Trinh Le Anh became the only two members of the Vietnamese delegation invited to the residence of President Nicolas Maduro.
Here, Miss Ngoc Han and MC Le Anh participated in a live TV show named after him. The beauty queen and MC Le Anh wore ao dai inspired by the flag, national emblem and national flower of Venezuela to record the show.
"This was a very special and emotional day as I had the opportunity to meet with the President of Venezuela - Nicolas Maduro. Interestingly, the meeting was not on the delegation's schedule.
But it was this special ao dai that I designed with the image of the Venezuelan flag and national emblem that became a magical bridge to bring us the precious opportunity to meet and talk with President Nicolas Maduro.
I also shared with President Nicolas Maduro that what impressed me most was the sincere feelings of the Venezuelan people when they welcomed our group throughout the journey," said Miss Ngoc Han.
During her working schedule in Venezuela, Miss Ngoc Han also had the opportunity to visit many famous tourist destinations in the cities of Tachira, Morrocoy, Canaima such as the ancient town of Peribeca, El Hacha waterfall... and enjoy many local specialties.
After being crowned Miss Vietnam 2010, Ngoc Han is one of the few beauty queens who actively contributes to the community, from charity programs to environmental protection, promoting traditional culture and Vietnamese tourism to the world...
She once designed a collection of culturally diverse ao dai, expressing the friendship between Vietnam and many countries such as France, Japan, America, etc. and was loved by the wives of many countries.
