International tourist market is bustling
The number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa in the first 6 months of 2025 reached about 2.6 million, accounting for more than 40% of the total number of visitors and contributing significantly to the total number of international visitors to Vietnam (10.7 million).
On average, one in four to five foreign tourists visiting Khanh Hoa.
Along with the strong growth in the number of visitors, tourism revenue in the whole province reached more than 31,000 billion VND, an increase of 19.1% over the same period. Thereby, continuing to affirm its position as one of the localities with the most dynamic tourism development in the country.
According to statistics from Cam Ranh International Airport, in June 2025 alone, there were an average of 32 international flights per day to the port (19 flights from Korea).
In addition, there are flights from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Uzbekistan and many other countries.
Korean visitors are still the leading market with more than 1 million visitors in 5 months, up 4.1% over the same period. Russian visitors reached 121,000, an increase of 192%; Kazakhstan visitors reached 52,650, an increase of 30%; Chinese visitors reached nearly 298,000...
Khanh Hoa tourism also attracts a large number of tourists from Western Europe, North America, Australia and Southeast Asia thanks to its diversity of products and open visa policies.
Big opportunity but still challenge
The leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province commented that Khanh Hoa is gradually becoming a favorite destination for international tourists thanks to its attractive tourism products, increasingly synchronous infrastructure, and open visa and entry and exit policies.
However, according to many experts, to develop sustainable tourism, Khanh Hoa still needs to overcome some limitations such as lack of night-time entertainment services, shopping, art performances; overloaded transport infrastructure during peak season; along with the shortage of high-quality tourism human resources, limited foreign language skills...
These factors have a significant impact on the experience of tourists. For the Russian tourist market, the Department's leaders said the return of routes will take place at the end of the winter transfer window - when Russian tourists began to reduce their travel demand - so they have not been as effective as expected.

To attract Russian tourists as well as international tourists, Khanh Hoa has implemented many promotional activities to promote the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism.
These include international tourism fairs, welcoming Famtrip groups, distributing promotional publications in Russian, upgrading products to suit long-term vacation needs and the high-spending tourist segment.

The 45-day visa exemption policy for Russian citizens is also a favorable factor, contributing to creating conditions for tourists to easily enter and stay.
