Most overseas Vietnamese tourists share that they have quite tight schedules and prioritize experiencing Tet at home with their families. Therefore, overseas Vietnamese tourists often choose to travel before Tet.
A representative of Viet Travel Company said that the Lunar New Year holiday especially attracts overseas Vietnamese tourists because this group of tourists has diverse needs such as visiting relatives, celebrating Tet, going out... Therefore, the overseas Vietnamese group accounts for about 25-30% of the company's total number of Tet tourists.
Popular destinations for this group of tourists are quite diverse, including both domestic and international. Overseas Vietnamese tourists often prioritize tours that combine traditional cultural exploration and relaxation, such as tours to the North combined with temple visits and sightseeing of natural beauty.
