On August 29, the People's Committee of Da Lat City launched the project " Dalat Art Map". Attending the event was Mr. Jonathan Baker, Chief Representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Vietnam.
The goal of building the map is to connect and introduce unique art destinations, cultural and musical performances, and typical scenic spots of Da Lat.
This product is not only a navigation tool, but also a bridge between artists, art institutions and the community.
The map is designed with two main colors of yellow and blue. The tool provides 59 destinations in the city center and surrounding areas, with 8 groups such as history and heritage, natural attractions, exhibition spaces, art venues, music, entertainment, provided for free at the destinations.
The art map helps to open up interesting stories about history, culture and creativity, while promoting the sustainable development of tourism and art associated with the city of music.
Along with the location system is interesting information, carefully selected in terms of content and message. From there, it gives visitors an overview of the cultural depth of Da Lat.
When coming to Da Lat, visitors can scan QR codes at tourist attractions to see the art tourist map, or will receive a free paper copy at Da Lat Station as well as some other tourist attractions.
Mr. Pham Anh Huu - a tour guide in Da Lat, shared: "The Da Lat art tourism map has numbers on the map and each number corresponds to a tourist destination. This helps us a lot in introducing the local characteristics. At the same time, the map helps visitors visualize Da Lat culture better."
Mr. Dang Quang Tu - Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee, said that the construction of Da Lat Art Tourism Map is one of three local initiatives, aiming to promote the role of culture and creativity in the sustainable development of the city. After this launch version, the city will continue to develop, expand and provide full and accurate information about new art destinations and unique local cultural events.
According to Mr. Jonathan Baker - Chief Representative of UNESCO in Vietnam, the Dalat Art Tourism Map is an initiative that contributes to shaping the cultural and creative ecosystem of Dalat city. This map is not only a useful tool for tourists but also supports state agencies in managing and promoting heritage as well as other creative spaces.
