In December 2025, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a Regulation on coordination in supporting tourists to strengthen the protection of tourists' rights and build a safe and civilized tourism environment.
The Regulation consists of 3 chapters and 16 articles, clearly defining the support content, the process of receiving feedback as well as the responsibilities of relevant units.
According to the regulations, tourists who encounter incidents during their stay or visit in Khanh Hoa will be comprehensively supported, including: ensuring the safety of life, health and property; emergency rescue.
Guiding administrative procedures when having your personal documents such as passports, citizen identification cards, air tickets stolen, stolen, or lost; supporting the handling of recommendations on service quality and prices; resolving disagreements in transactions; interfering in solicitation, fraud, price increase, and fraud.
To effectively implement, the province has established a 24/7 information reception system through the hotline *2258 and the website of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion at: ttdhsdl.khanhhoa.gov.vn.
The center is the focal unit to receive feedback, advise visitors on how to record information, store evidence; and at the same time, forward information to the authorities when the incident shows signs of seriousness. When there is a conclusion on the handling, the Center will respond to visitors.
The regulations also clearly stipulate the coordination mechanism between departments, branches, sectors and commune-level People's Committees.
Notably, for emergency incidents that require presence at the scene, unit leaders must send staff within 30 minutes from the time of receiving the notification from the hotline.
The Provincial People's Committee requires each unit to arrange specialized staff as focal points, proactively coordinate to completely handle feedback; absolutely do not push responsibility away and must ensure processing progress.
After receiving information from the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, the units must handle it according to their areas of responsibility and notify the results so that the Center can respond to tourists.
The new regulations are expected to contribute to improving service quality, strengthening trust and creating a safe and friendly image for Khanh Hoa destinations in the eyes of tourists.
