Possessing a rich cultural and natural heritage treasure trove, the Government has issued a National Strategy on Tourism Development with the goal of making Vietnam one of the three leading destinations in Southeast Asia and in the top 50 countries with the highest tourism competitiveness in the world by 2025.
Within the framework of this strategy, the contest "Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026" is organized with the mission of honoring the beauty, intelligence, talent and bravery of Vietnamese women; at the same time, it is a bridge to spread the cultural values, landscape and image of the country closer to the international community.
The contest is not only a journey to find outstanding faces but also a place where each contestant becomes a "Tourism Ambassador", bringing pride in their homeland as well as spreading throughout the Fatherland and the world.
With the theme "Vietnam shines", this year's contest continues the success of previous years, promising to be a journey to spread the cultural values and beauty of Vietnam to friends around the world. After the strong impressions from the journey in 2022 and 2024 - through famous landmarks such as: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, Cam Pha..., the contest hopes to contribute to bringing the image of Vietnam from the plains to the mountains, from the urban area to the sea to be closer to the hearts of people at home and abroad.
People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh - Former Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, Chairman of the Jury of the contest said that the contest "Miss Tourism Vietnam" is always different from other beauty contests, right from the name, the criteria and meaning of the contest are expressed.
"We hope to find people with the potential to become Tourism Ambassadors, both talented and capable of conveying the content we have about tourism to stimulate the country's spearhead economic sector," said Mr. Vinh.
In addition to People's Artist Quang Vinh, the judges of this year's contest also include: Lawyer Nguyen Chien - Chairman of the Advisory Council, MC Thao Van, Miss Jennifer Pham, Runner-up Tu Anh and Meritorious Artist Viet Anh.
Candidates participating in the contest must be Vietnamese national or a person of Vietnamese origin living and working abroad; aged 18 - 28, 1.65m or older, with natural beauty without cosmetic surgery or gender reassignment, unmarried, or unborn.
For contestants who have won the title of Miss, Runner-up, Miss, Runner-up at beauty contests at school, unit, province levels... in 2021 - 2024, they will be selected directly to the semi-finals.
It is expected that the preliminary round of the Southern region will take place in November 2025, the preliminary round of the Northern region in December 2025. The semi-finals of the contest will be held at the end of December 2025. The final night of the "Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026" contest will be held on January 10, 2026 in Quang Ninh.
The judges will choose to find and award the title to Miss and 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up. In addition, the contest also has additional awards including: Physical beauty, Beautiful face, Talented beauty, Compassionate beauty, Fashion beauty, Most favorite beauty, Beautiful evening gown beauty and Vietnam Ao Dai beauty.
Sharing at the press conference, Mr. Dam Phuong Anh - Head of the HHDLVN Organizing Committee - emphasized that the contest has its own nature and characteristics.
We are not only looking for beauty queens, but also looking for inspirations, a cultural and tourism ambassador who is capable of telling the story of Vietnam with his heart, aspirations and actions in the new era. The extremely beautiful and radiant faces of Vietnamese girls not only have the will to be, the love and the ability to integrate, but also represent the beauty of famous landscapes, landscapes, and unique cultural features of Vietnam, said Mr. Phuong Anh.
The "Miss Tourism Vietnam" contest was first held in 2008, with the crown belonging to Phan Thi Ngoc Diem. After a temporary hiatus, the contest returned in 2022 and has been held every two years since then.
In the "Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024" contest, beauty Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh from Hai Duong was crowned the highest position, the first and second runner-up titles respectively belonged to Huynh Kim Anh and Le Thi Anh Tuyet.
