The title of "Best Tourist Village in the World 2025" for Quynh Son (Lang Son) was chosen by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) based on the criteria of core values of natural resources and indigenous culture, while having innovative actions and commitments to develop tourism in line with the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
Accordingly, in February 2025, the Lang Son Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center has prepared a dossier to submit to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to submit to the UN Tourism for approval of the title.
After a selection process from 270 applications from 65 countries, Quynh Son was honored at the awards ceremony in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province (China) on October 17, 2025.
This award not only honors a local tourist destination of Lang Son but also contributes to helping Vietnam's tourism orient, promote and develop the tourism industry in a sustainable, responsible direction and bring economic and cultural benefits to the local community, as well as mark the position of Lang Son tourism on the world tourism map.
Mr. Trinh Minh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Son commune affirmed that the title of Best Tourist Village in the World 2025 that Quynh Son community tourism village received shows the consensus of the government and the community, becoming a driving force for Bac Son to develop sustainable, friendly tourism, imbued with the identity of his homeland.
Ms. Tran Thi Bich Hanh - Deputy Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lang Son province added that Quynh Son village being awarded the title this time is an opportunity to help Lang Son promote the local tourism brand to the international market.
We will continue to accompany the locality in building new products, attracting investment and spreading a sustainable community tourism model, Ms. Bich Hanh expressed.
In addition, Lang Son province also officially opened the Bac Son Golden Season Festival 2025, which will last from now until November 15. Many activities will take place at the festival in turn such as rice pounding competition, wrapping black Chung cakes, harvesting rice, rowing SUP boats on the golden valley, exhibiting OCOP products, highland culinary space and tourism fair.
The event promises to attract many domestic and foreign tourists to participate and experience a cultural space imbued with national identity.
