On the morning of January 1, 2026, Lang Son province organized to welcome the first international tourist group to the locality in the new year through Huu Nghi International Border Gate.
The event marks the opening of a series of activities to promote and promote Lang Son tourism in 2026, and at the same time sends a message about the image of a friendly, hospitable and ready-to-integrate border region.
The group of 40 international tourists entered through Huu Nghi border gate at the beginning of the new year.
Participating in welcoming the delegation were representatives of the Lang Son Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; Lang Son Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Lang Son Tourism Association; Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station; Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board.

In the program, the delegation will visit and experience some typical destinations of Lang Son such as Dong Dang Mother Temple, Dong Dang Station, Phai Ve Flagpole, Tam Thanh Cave, Cua Nam Church and Hoang Van Thu Monument.

In 2025, the total number of tourists to Lang Son is estimated to reach 4.44 million, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period in 2024 and reaching 100% of the set plan.
In which, international visitors reached about 305,000, an increase of more than 111% compared to the previous year; domestic visitors reached 4.13 million.
Specifically, Chinese tourists passing through the border gate with passports in 2025 reached more than 100,000 arrivals, a sharp increase compared to 2024.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuan - Director of the Lang Son Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center said that in the coming time, Lang Son will continue to promote border tourism cooperation with Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
