On July 29, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee informed that the province has just issued Decision No. 2574 on establishing 2 Task Forces to comprehensively inspect and review accommodation and homestay establishments in the province.
Accordingly, the 2 Task Forces have the task of inspecting the compliance with legal regulations on land, investment, construction, environmental protection and business conditions of accommodation establishments and homestays; promptly detecting, handling or advising on handling violations, ensuring operating in accordance with regulations.
The Task Forces will develop task deployment plans, ensuring the right purpose, requirements and progress according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.
Before field inspection, the People's Committees of communes and wards with accommodation and homestay facilities will review, summarize and report on the legal status of each establishment related to land, investment, construction, environment and business conditions.
Based on local reports, the Task Forces will conduct inspections of each establishment, summarize the results and report to the Provincial People's Committee according to the assigned progress.
In the process of implementation, Heads of Task Forces are proactively coordinated with relevant agencies and units to strengthen human resources when necessary, ensuring the completion of tasks as required.
According to the plan, the results of inspection and review will be summarized and reported to the Provincial People's Committee before September 20, 2026 for consideration and reporting to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. Decision No. 2574 takes effect from July 27, 2026.
