On the morning of August 3, the 6th Ngoc Linh ginseng festival in 2024, in Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province with the theme "Ngoc Linh - Forever proud", officially ended.
The festival takes place from August 1 to 3 with 5 main activities including: Opening program and art performances; Ngoc Linh ginseng market and typical agricultural and forestry products in the mountainous areas of Quang Nam province; Organize Ngoc Linh ginseng contest - Ngoc Linh ginseng auction; tree performance contest; folk dance competition…
According to Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Vice Chairman of Nam Tra My District People's Committee, the festival attracted more than 10 thousand visitors to visit, shop and participate in activities.
Revenue during the 3 days of the festival is estimated at more than 7 billion VND. Ngoc Linh ginseng alone sold about 70kg, helping ginseng growers earn nearly 6 billion VND.
In particular, responding to the call of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, at this festival, 11 households, individuals, and businesses donated prize-winning Ngoc Linh ginseng to the organizing committee. The auction earned more than 360 million VND, supporting the Nam Tra My District Temporary House Removal Fund.
