Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has issued a document agreeing on a plan to organize traffic around Xuan Huong Lake to serve the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival.
Specifically, vehicles with more than 29 seats are not allowed to circulate on Tran Quoc Toan Street (around Xuan Huong Lake), except from the Yersin - Tran Quoc Toan intersection to the Tran Nhan Tong - Tran Quoc Toan intersection.
The city has put up signs "no stopping or parking" and "except for electric vehicles used for transportation to pick up and drop off passengers" along the entire Tran Quoc Toan Street. The ban is from 5am to 11pm every day from December 1 to December 31.
Electric cars used for transportation business (taxis, contract cars with less than 9 seats) are allowed to park and pick up and drop off passengers at public parking lots on Tran Quoc Toan Street.
In addition, on December 4 and 5 - the opening day of the Da Lat Flower Festival, Lam Dong province banned trucks weighing over 20 tons from traveling from Dai Huoai district to Bao Loc city and vice versa. Time is from 9:00 to 21:00 on December 4 and from 9:00 to 15:00 on December 5.
The 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival, themed "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors", will open on the night of December 5 with the largest stage in history at 2,000 square meters. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province expects that the Da Lat Flower Festival in December will attract about 2 million visitors.
According to the People's Committee of Da Lat city, there will be 10 official music and festival programs throughout December, including at least 2 grand music festivals.
