In order to meet the travel needs of people during the Lunar New Year Dinh Mui 2027, the Railway industry organizes train ticket sales on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route in 2 phases, prioritizing group tickets before widely opening for sale to individual passengers.
According to the plan, railway transport branches nationwide will receive lists of registrations for collective ticket purchases from agencies, units and businesses before 2 pm on August 28, 2026.
Subjects prioritized for buying collective tickets include the people's armed forces, universities, colleges, industrial parks, export processing zones, social organizations, businesses, companies and units under the Railway industry.
Collective ticket sales start from 10:00 AM on August 30 to the end of September 4, 2026.
After the collective ticket sales phase, the Railway industry will open wide sales to individual passengers from 8 am on September 5, 2026.
Passengers can buy tickets online on the website of Vietnam Railways Corporation at dsvn.vn, through train ticket booking applications on mobile devices or purchase directly at stations, ticket sales points and official agents of the Railway industry.
To limit speculation and ensure fair rights and opportunities to buy tickets, the Railway industry stipulates that each customer when booking or buying tickets through online or direct channels is not allowed to buy more than 10 tickets for one direction in each transaction.
Ticket sales in stages are aimed at proactively serving the increased number of passengers during the Dinh Mui Lunar New Year 2027, especially on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.
The Railway industry expects this plan to contribute to reducing pressure on the ticket sales system, meeting the Tet homecoming needs of people and limiting speculation and overload during peak hours.
