On June 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province said that the Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and musician Trinh Cong Son's family will organize the music night "Mother Legend" within the framework of the Peace Festival 2026.
This is a special art event in the series of key activities of the 2026 Peace Festival, and also commemorates the 25th anniversary of the death of musician Trinh Cong Son, who left behind many works rich in human values and aspirations for peace.
The program takes place at 8:10 PM on June 20, 2026 at Bao Ninh Square (Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province) with a duration of 100 minutes, broadcast live on Newspaper and Radio, Quang Tri Television and streamed online on many digital platforms.

The program was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of Quang Tri province, musician Trinh Cong Son's family, along with representatives of departments, agencies, branches, localities, press agencies and a large number of people and tourists from home and abroad.
The music night was directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee; the Department of Performing Arts, Quang Tri Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and musician Trinh Cong Son's family organized; the Vietnam National Opera & Ballet performed together with coordinating units.
The program aims to honor typical works of musician Trinh Cong Son, spreading the humanistic values of love, compassion and the desire for peace.
Through contemporary art, the program honors the image of Vietnamese mothers in wartime, a symbol of sacrifice and tolerance, and at the same time honors the image of Mother Fatherland, Mother Homeland.
The program structure includes 3 parts: opening scene "Mother's Legend", opening ceremony and art program with three chapters: "Mother in the Land of Memories", "Loving Arms" and "Aspiration for Peace - Let's Love Each Other".
The program gathers many famous artists such as Meritorious Artist Luong Huy, Meritorious Artist Thu Minh, Duc Tuan, Ha Le, Khanh Ly, Kyo York, Ha Myo and many domestic and international artists, orchestras and choirs.
Legend of Mother" is not only a memorial art program but also a journey to spread the message of peace and compassion from Quang Tri land, a place that once suffered much pain but is rising strongly.
