Landmark No. 0 A Pa Chai in the far west of the country in Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province, is known as "a rooster crows three countries to listen to" (Vietnam, Laos, China). This landmark has long been a meaningful conquest spot for visitors who love to explore.
Visiting milestone No. 0 must be temporarily suspended for the construction of related works for many months. This information has caused many tourists to change their destination choices and travel agencies that have planned to also adjust.
Mr. Phan Thanh Hoan (24 years old, from Hanoi) - said: "Our group has planned to conquer milestone No. 0 in the far West of the Fatherland on the occasion of April 30. When I received the news of the suspension, I was really disappointed.

Instead of canceling their trip to Dien Bien, Mr. Hoan's group decided to adjust their schedule.
"We will spend more time exploring historical sites in Dien Bien Phu City such as A1 Hill, Do Cat tunnel, Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum..." - the male tourist said.
Mr. Luong Son Lam - a tour guide for a travel company in Hanoi - said that temporarily suspending visitors to milestone No. 0 in the far West of the country will greatly affect the company in 2025. Therefore, the company has replaced it with new locations such as Quynh Nhai (Son La), Sin Suoi Ho (Lai Chau)... to connect Dien Bien tourism route with the Northwest region.

When the most attractive destination in the Dien Bien tour temporarily stopped receiving visitors, tour companies quickly made adjustments.
Mr. Phan Thach Thanh - Director of Dien Bien Tourism Company Limited with the same land - said: "Sales come from the westernmost point of all points. The temporary suspension of visiting landmark No. 0 has affected the company quite a lot, especially during the tourist season in the Northern mountainous region".
Mr. Thanh said that the company had to return deposits to some tourists because they could not make the trip as planned and agreed to reorganize the tour when the tourist attraction reopened.


Assessing the feasibility of finding alternative destinations, Mr. Thanh shared that in Dien Bien, the units "wished to draw up new destinations, which was very difficult because before, when building tours, the three main destinations were still A Pa Chai, historical sites and Tua Chua".
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, the activities of visiting the No. 0 landmark in the far West were temporarily suspended for many months.
The representative of the A Pa Chai Border Guard Station said: "Currently, the road to milestone No. 0 cannot be reached because there is construction of a project related to national defense. Therefore, tour activities in the area must be temporarily suspended.
The representative of the Border Guard Station added that even if the construction is completed as soon as possible, it will not be until the National Day (September 2) that the visit to marker No. 0 can continue.
Milestone No. 0 at the Border T -junction (Vietnam, Laos, China) is located on the top of Khoa La San mountain of A Pa Chai village, Sin Thau commune, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province at an altitude of 1864m. The milestone is made of granite, surrounded by hexagonal yard, the outermost is the square block each side is 5m long. The 2m high milestone from the stand and has three sides. On each side, the country's name is engraved with the national language and attaching the national Huy of each country of Vietnam, Laos and China.
