Information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the province is adjusting the tourism development project in the direction of focusing resources on four areas with advantages in landscape, culture and the ability to form typical products.
Priority destinations include Mau Son Tourist Area, Quynh Son community tourist village, Huu Lien community tourist area and UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark.
Mau Son has advantages in climate, high mountain landscape and indigenous culture, and is oriented to develop resort tourism, entertainment, recreation and natural experience.
Quynh Son and Huu Lien have formed community tourism products associated with stilt houses, villages, cuisine and cultural activities of local people.
Meanwhile, UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark is expected to create more products connecting geology, history, culture and community life. Exploitation must be associated with resource protection, heritage conservation and creating livelihoods for people.
In addition to identifying key areas, the province requests to supplement orientations for developing green tourism ecosystems, smart tourism and artificial intelligence applications.
Technology can be used to promote destinations, provide information and support tourists during tourism. Geological tourism products will also be researched and developed, associated with heritage conservation and promotion.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to evaluate the implementation results of the 2022-2025 period, thereby determining the goals, tasks and list of projects for the 2026-2030 period.
The targets must be consistent with the Lang Son Provincial Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050 and related national target programs. The adjustment project is expected to be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee in July 2026.
Along with investing in destinations, Lang Son plans to organize a short video creation contest to promote culture and tourism with the participation of travel bloggers, social media influencers and digital content creators.
This activity is expected to be within the framework of the Lang Son Provincial Ethnic Culture Festival in 2026. The province requests to reduce the scale of the opening ceremony and increase direct experience activities for people and tourists.
