Right from the opening day - April 2, the 22nd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival in 2026 has attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and hunt for promotional tours.
Ms. Thu Ha (An Nhon ward) shared: "I came early to find a summer tour for my family. Tour prices here are quite good, and there are many choices, so it's easy to decide".

This year's festival lasts until April 5th, at 23/9 Park. In which, the tourism demand stimulus fair gathers more than 120 businesses in the fields of travel, accommodation, transportation and tourism services, bringing a diverse product ecosystem and many preferential programs specifically for the peak summer season. Many units apply preferential rates of up to 50% for domestic and international tours.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Tran Hoang Phuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Golden Smile Company said that in the context of the market having many fluctuations, the number of visitors and revenue expected to be achieved at the festival is equivalent to last year. However, to achieve this level, the enterprise made double efforts compared to the previous period.
This is a common reality of the industry, businesses must change to adapt. We must rebuild the price system, restructure products. This year is considered a pivotal stage, focusing on investing, consolidating the system and expanding partnerships, instead of focusing on immediate growth" - Mr. Phuong assessed.
Regarding demand stimulus policies, businesses are implementing many preferential programs, including discounts of up to 30% for some tour products. At the same time, the unit also changed the itinerary design, shifting from traditional sightseeing models to increasing experiences, entertainment and freedom of exploration for tourists.

According to Mr. Pham Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Viet Tourism Company, the large number of visitors right on the opening day is a positive sign for the tourism market. This is an opportunity for businesses to both promote products during the April 30th holiday and summer, and share cost pressure with tourists. When customers register early, businesses can also finalize services and maintain stable prices, creating benefits for both sides.
This business has prepared more than 1,000 discount vouchers, with incentives of up to 2 million VND for customers. At the same time, early registrants can get a maximum discount of 3 million VND.
Notably, to stimulate group customers, businesses also implement their own preferential policies, with reductions that can be up to 80 million VND depending on the scale and route.
At the opening ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival on April 2, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the festival not only creates a short-term demand stimulus effect, towards the April 30 - May 1 holiday and summer 2026, but also gradually takes on a larger role, re-establishing and elevating the cooperative relationship between the city and Vietnamese localities and the business community. Thereby, contributing to reorganizing the tourism market in a closer, more effective and sustainable direction.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - assessed that by gathering many localities and many businesses in the same space, the festival has created conditions to form horizontal and vertical links in the tourism value chain - from product development, tour organization, to promotion and distribution.
