Lack of toilets and parking
At the end of 2021, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City to launch a project to preserve, restore and promote the value of Hai Van Quan relic. The total investment of the project is more than 42 billion VND from the budget of Da Nang City and Thua Thien - Hue Province. After 2 years of restoration and reconstruction, the project has been put into tourism exploitation since August 1, 2024.
According to Lao Dong, the restoration work has been basically completed, and the historical relic and landscape here have become an attractive destination for locals and tourists.
However, this relic complex currently lacks auxiliary items. Mr. Nguyen Vinh, a resident of Lien Chieu district, reflected: "The city needs to continue considering building items such as restrooms, parking lots, ticket sales points, souvenir shops, tour guide and security guard work areas... to best serve tourists."
Regarding this issue, the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City informed that the Hai Van Quan relic site has been opened for free to the public and tourists since August 1, so the ticket booth has not been installed yet. When the relic site implements the plan to sell tickets, the ticket booth will be arranged appropriately. The items of toilets, working areas for guides and security guards in the relic site have been arranged.
The service logistics area such as parking lot, public toilet, souvenir shop area has been assigned by the City People's Committee to the Lien Chieu District People's Committee to implement. Currently, the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center are continuing to complete the Plan to exploit and promote the value of Hai Van Quan relic, submitting it to the leaders of the two localities for approval and implementation.
Early investment in tourism service logistics at Hai Van Quan
On October 22, the City People's Committee announced that it had issued a document to address difficulties and problems related to urban traffic associated with tourism activities. The City People's Committee requested the Lien Chieu District People's Committee to urgently complete related procedures and soon implement the Hai Van Quan Relic Site Management and Operation Project.

At the same time, coordinate with relevant departments and branches to implement the project, ensuring early stabilization of security and order, traffic safety, and urban landscape on the top of Hai Van pass.
Lien Chieu District People's Committee and Hoa Vang District People's Committee have deployed a review and installation of landslide warning signs at locations at risk of landslides on the Ngo Xuan Thu route to Hoa Bac - Hoa Vang eco-tourism to enhance warnings and ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles, especially during the rainy and stormy season.
The City People's Committee requests the Department of Tourism to continue to guide and propagate to Tourism Associations, Travel Associations, Hotel Associations, travel agencies, tourist transport units, and tour guides to comply with the City People's Committee's policy on traffic flow and regulation of passenger vehicles with more than 30 seats entering the city center.
