According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, from 8:00 p.m. on December 31, thousands of people and tourists flocked to Him Lam eco-tourism area (Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province) to count down the last moments of the old year and welcome the new year.
The atmosphere here becomes bustling with vibrant music, unique art performances and especially the brilliant fireworks display on Countdown night.
As the clock struck midnight, the atmosphere became more exciting as everyone excitedly participated in the Countdown program to welcome the new year 2025.
Luong Thi Diem Le - 17 years old, Dien Bien Phu City - said that this was the second time welcoming Countdown in Dien Bien, she went with her close friends and was there since 8pm.
“At the moment of New Year’s Eve, I ate all 12 grapes, with the wish that the new year will be full of new things. In the new year, I hope to have new steps forward and get into my favorite university,” said Le.
Previously, at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument ceremony ground, on the evening of December 31, the art program "Spring Aspiration" also took place to welcome the new year 2025.
After the art program ended, people and tourists were able to watch the artistic fireworks display at 9:15 p.m., welcoming the new year 2025. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Dien Bien province plans to organize fireworks displays at 6 low-altitude locations, using socialized funding.
In Dien Bien Phu City, the low-altitude fireworks display site at the dual-track entrance to the Provincial Party Committee Headquarters has a scale of 120 rigs, with an estimated implementation cost of 655 million VND. The remaining 5 locations are in the following districts: Tuan Giao; Muong Ang; Tua Chua; Muong Nhe; Nam Po. The above low-altitude fireworks display sites have a scale of 90 rigs, with an estimated implementation cost of 512 million VND/location.
