Tourists can travel by water or air with a variety of different flights, and airfares to Phu Quoc during the holidays are quite "soft".
Chairman of An Giang Provincial Tourism Association Nguyen Vu Khac Huy said: "The demand for people to go out and travel during holidays is also increasing, especially Phu Quoc recorded many customers going in family groups, small groups of friends, colleagues and also many tour groups.
Ms. Tran Yen Nhi, a tourist from Can Tho, said: "The day I started, I was a little worried about the weather because it was raining, but fortunately, the journey to the tourist attractions in Phu Quoc was quite smooth and convenient. I see that the attractions also have staff on duty, guides, and equipment to ensure safety for guests, I am also more reassured.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luan, a tourist from Can Tho, shared: "This holiday season, my family has time to travel, so I also take advantage of going right from the first day of the holiday. Phu Quoc is beautiful, with many experiences, diverse services suitable for the pockets of many groups of tourists, so I will actively choose packages that suit me. I see the prices are stable, there is no overcharging or overcharging, mainly I choose services or eating, shopping according to my conditions because they have price lists".
Mr. Huy informed that the Provincial Tourism Association also strengthens propaganda to members, travel businesses, accommodation establishments, restaurants, transportation units and attractions to fully prepare conditions to serve tourists. In which, review service chains and improve products such as checking accommodation capacity, transportation, restaurants, attractions and tour guides. Develop flexible programs from 3 days 2 nights to 5 days 4 nights, combining resorts, entertainment, cuisine and local cultural experiences. The whole province currently has 142 licensed travel service businesses. The total number of accommodation establishments in the province is 1,162 establishments - 38,806 rooms.
Publicly list prices, properly implement commitments, clearly inform about service usage conditions and minimize unclear surcharges. According to records, the tourism situation is stable, there is no situation of overcharging or soliciting customers.
The Association determines that the goal of the holiday is not only to welcome a large number of visitors but more importantly to ensure that every visitor has a good experience, clearly feels the professionalism, friendliness and responsibility of Phu Quoc destination. This is also an opportunity for local businesses to improve their capacity, strengthen links and bring many values from tourism activities to the local community. We expect that through the holiday, we will continue to affirm Phu Quoc as a safe, attractive, experiential and hospitable destination; creating positive momentum for the year-end tourism season. At the same time, contributing to better preparation for the goal of raising the destination to APEC 2027," Mr. Huy emphasized.
Previously, the Department of Tourism had a document sent to travel service business units in the province to implement legal regulations on travel service business and ensure safety for tourists.
Regularly pay attention to reviewing and evaluating the safety level of programs, destinations and service providers; only use tourist transport vehicles, services of organizations and individuals that fully meet the conditions according to regulations, especially for sea, island, waterway tourism programs and activities of experiencing, playing, entertainment underwater, at sea, mountain climbing, going to the forest... that pose potential safety risks.
