It is expected that the total number of tourists to Quang Binh in 2024 will reach 5.2 million, up 15.3% compared to 2023 and exceeding the annual plan by 104%. Of which, the number of domestic visitors is expected to reach more than 5 million, up 15.1%, and the number of international visitors will reach nearly 200,000, up 23.8%. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 5,980 billion, up 17.3% compared to 2023 and exceeding the plan by 118%.
Cultural and tourism events held during the year contribute to attracting a large number of tourists, such as the New Year 2024 program, Quang Binh Tourism Week, and the parade celebrating National Day on September 2. These events not only bring excitement but also contribute to promoting the image of Quang Binh to domestic and international tourists.
In the context of digital transformation becoming an inevitable trend, Quang Binh tourism industry has pioneered the application of high technology to enhance experiences and promote effectively.
Quang Binh has created digital tourism promotion materials that integrate augmented reality (AR) effects and 3D simulations. Visitors can experience tourist information right on mobile devices using Android and iOS operating systems.
The province has focused on virtual reality (VR) technology, which is widely used to promote Quang Binh tourism products at domestic and international conferences and exhibitions. These virtual reality experiences contribute to attracting interest from international visitors.
Along with that, through digital platforms, Quang Binh's unique tourism images and products have been promoted on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok... In particular, many images and tourism products of Quang Binh have been selected by Meta and Google corporations to introduce and apply new technology.
In addition to digital transformation, the Quang Binh tourism industry also focuses on improving service quality and synchronizing service infrastructure. Training courses on tourism professions according to Vietnam Tourism Standards (VTOS) are organized for employees in the industry. In addition, sea, resort and ecological tourism services are also expanded.
In 2025, Quang Binh aims to welcome 5.5 million visitors, with total revenue of 6,325 billion VND.
