According to the document, the Thunder of Road 5 is a resistance movement against French colonialism on Road 5 and the Hai Phong - Hanoi railway of the army and people of 3 provinces: Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen.
After the success of the August Revolution, the French colonialists returned to invade our country for the second time. Realizing this as the most important artery route in the Northern battlefield, the French colonialists have set up many posts, watchtowers, launched many patrols, and swept along Route 5 and surrounding areas, committing many crimes against our people.
Because the route 5 and the Hai Phong - Hanoi railway have strategic and important positions, throughout the resistance war against French colonialism, the army and people of Hai Duong, along with Hai Phong and Hung Yen, fought steadfastly, clinging to the land, clinging to the village, and destroying each enemy.
With the slogan "Concentrating gunshots, constant mines on Route 5 to coordinate with Dien Bien Phu", the army and people of Hai Duong organized many mine attacks, contributing to the depletion of enemy forces, weapons and vehicles on Route 5, preventing enemy support for Dien Bien Phu battlefield.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh - Secretary of Kim Thanh District Youth Union said: "With the spirit of pioneering youth in digital transformation, the digitalization of the Thunder Monument on Route 5 is a meaningful activity of Kim Thanh District youth to provide accurate data, images, and documents related to relic sites and red addresses in Kim Thanh District.
