On December 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang province coordinated with the consulting unit of Nguyen Tat Thanh University to organize a conference to announce and deploy the project "My Phuoc river and garden eco-tourism area, Nhon My commune, Ke Sach district (Soc Trang)".
Recently, the People's Committee of Soc Trang province issued Decision No. 2941 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the outline and budget estimate for the implementation of the Project "My Phuoc river and garden eco-tourism area, Nhon My commune, Ke Sach district".
Estimated budget of 12.6 billion VND, capital from the central budget in 2024 to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in Soc Trang province.
The My Phuoc Islet River Ecotourism Project was built with 5 basic objectives to build My Phuoc Islet to be recognized as a tourist destination. Specifically, tourism activities become one of the livelihoods, bringing in the main income and creating jobs for local people.
Build a suitable model to develop the local tourism potential. Organize at least 4 activities to serve the needs of tourists (sightseeing - accompanying - experiencing - relaxing).
Pilot a cashless payment tourism model. Form at least one tour connecting localities inside and outside the province.
My Phuoc Islet has long been a famous eco-tourism destination with fruit orchards laden with fruit. This place is blessed with natural resources, fresh water all year round, fertile soil, and people thrive in gardening. Coming to My Phuoc Islet, there are all kinds of fruit trees available, each season has its own fruit.

In particular, on the occasion of the Doan Ngo Festival (the 5th day of the 5th lunar month), My Phuoc Islet also hosts the River Garden Festival. This is an opportunity for tourists to visit, admire and enjoy more than 30 types of tropical fruits.
