On the morning of April 13, flight number VJ55 from Astana (Kazakhstan) operated by Crystal Bay in coordination with VietJet Air safely landed at Da Nang International Airport. The flight carried 370 passengers, including more than 250 travel partners from the CIS market to survey services.
Next, on April 16, flight VJ7989 from Vladivostok (Russia) organized by Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd. will also bring 220 tourists from the land of white birch to the central coastal city.
To create an impression of a friendly destination, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City coordinated with relevant units to organize a welcome program at International Terminal T2 with lion dances, flowers and souvenirs for the first guests.
In the context that some traditional international markets are still volatile, Russia and the CIS are identified by Da Nang as potential customers with high spending and long stays.
Statistics in the first 3 months of 2026 show that Da Nang welcomed about 2.3 million international visitors. Of which, Russian and CIS visitors reached more than 100,000, accounting for about 4.35% of the total number of visitors. The strong restoration of these routes from April to October is expected to create momentum for the city's green economy.
In addition to welcoming guests, from April 13 to April 18, a famtrip delegation of more than 250 travel businesses from CIS will survey the actual products and services in Da Nang. In particular, the connection seminar on April 17 and 18 will be an opportunity for local service providers to work directly and sign cooperation agreements with international partners.
According to the plan, the flight network from Russia and the CIS to Da Nang in 2026 will expand to many major cities of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and the Far East, Siberia (Russia).
A representative of Crystal Bay said that this unit plans to operate about 400 flights in 2026, aiming to bring 80,000 to 100,000 passengers to Da Nang.
