On the evening of July 10, Khanh Hoa province held a ceremony to receive the title of Ponagar Tower National Special National Monument and National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Khanh Hoa Incense extraction and Processing of Khanh Hoa incense.
Honoring two typical heritages
The program consists of three parts: Art "Mother Xu So Legend", ceremony to award certificates of recognition of two heritages and art "Proud of a thousand-year cultural heritage".
According to Decision No. 152 of 2025 of the Prime Minister, Ponagar Tower is ranked as a special national monument thanks to its outstanding value in architecture, art, culture, history and beliefs.
This is a major center for worshiping the Mother of the South Central region, demonstrating the intersection and transmission of Cham - Vietnamese culture from the 8th century to the present.

Meanwhile, knowledge of Khanh Hoa Incense Landscape extraction and processing has also been officially included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Incense venom has long been a cultural and belief symbol, a typical handicraft product and the pride of the people of "Xu Tram Huong".

Sustainable promotion of heritage values
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province - emphasized: "Ba Ponagar Tower is not only a relic of special value in the life of spiritual culture, but also preserves many valuable artifacts such as royal decree, stele, bust of Goddess Po Nagar - the pinnacle of Champa sculpture art.
In addition, there is the intact tower cluster, bearing the mark of the Mother of State belief typical of the South Central region.
Khanh Hoa incense sticks are not simply a famous product but are also deeply associated with spiritual life, honoring the image of Thien Y A Na - considered the ancestor of the Tram profession.
Currently, in the province, there are many craft villages, cooperatives, and groups of households making incense sticks with diverse products such as incense sticks, bracelets, incense statues, essential oils, etc. In which, many products have achieved national OCOP certification and are present in the international market.
Honoring the two heritages not only shows the Party and State's concern for preserving traditional cultural values, but is also a foundation for Khanh Hoa to promote the development of tourism associated with heritage, promoting the brand "Xu Tram Huong" to domestic and international friends.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province said that it will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to develop a plan to preserve and promote the value of the two heritages.
At the same time, it is associated with the development of typical tourism products, contributing to creating a unique cultural identity and unique brand for Khanh Hoa.
