Accordingly, the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board recommends that units, businesses, organizations and individuals when purchasing sightseeing tickets provide full information to identify and authenticate personal information of tourists visiting Ha Long Bay.
For Vietnamese visitors, provide citizen identification information; personal identification code if the citizen is not old enough to be issued a citizen identification card.
For international visitors, provide passport and nationality information. In case the customer is a child or a person who is not eligible for documents, it is necessary to provide the guardian or sponsor's information including full name, ID card/passport number and contact phone number for comparison.

The above information is provided to ticket sellers and control staff of the Ha Long - Yen Tu Bay World Heritage Management Board at Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port. This information is only used for the purpose of managing tourism activities on Ha Long Bay according to current regulations; ensuring security, data safety and privacy of tourists.
Before December 10, when visiting Ha Long Bay, visitors only had to provide name, age, gender and nationality.
The implementation period will start from December 10, 2025, striving to complete data collection and application of information technology in ticket sales activities by January 1, 2026.
This activity aims to increase the efficiency of tourism management in Ha Long Bay, ensure the safety of tourists and gradually build a synchronous database to serve comprehensive digital transformation of the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board.
