One of the outstanding products is the "Night Museum - Heritage Journey" tour. Participating in the program, visitors will visit the museum in the evening, learn about history, culture, nature and people of Quang Ninh through a system of artifacts, images, documents and heritage stories. The activity also combines thematic explanations, lighting applications, sound, appropriate projection effects, along with QR codes for artifact explanations and heritage education content.
In addition, the unit organizes a reading culture space with the theme "Reading books amidst wonders" along with nighttime support services associated with reading activities, book introductions and experiences for children. This space displays and promotes more than 2,200 book titles in many fields such as children, history - culture, skills, literature, startups and business. Many interactive activities are also organized such as reading books, book introductions, storytelling, painting, incarnation of fairy characters and experiences for children, students and people.
In addition, the Quang Ninh Provincial Museum - Library also implements art programs, film screenings and cultural - heritage experiences. Art programs are organized in appropriate scale, prioritizing traditional art forms, folk music, art dances and cultural performances of ethnic groups in the province. In parallel with that are screenings of movies, children's movies, documentaries and films introducing Quang Ninh culture and tourism at halls or suitable spaces. This activity is associated with peak times such as International Children's Day June 1st, War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27th and National Day September 2nd.
According to the plan, nighttime economic products and services will be organized on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays every week, from 5pm to 10pm.
After a 1-month pilot period, the Quang Ninh Provincial Museum - Library will evaluate the organizational efficiency, level of attracting visitors, market demand, human resources conditions, facilities, financial plans and operational safety assurance. The evaluation results will be the basis for advising competent authorities to consider replicating or adjusting the model in the coming time.
The deployment of night economy products is expected to contribute to gradually forming night cultural and tourism products associated with the space of the Provincial Museum - Library, Planning Palace, Provincial Fairs and Exhibitions and 30/10 Square. At the same time, effectively promoting the value of public assets, cultural institutions and public spaces, meeting the healthy sightseeing, experience, entertainment, and recreation needs of people and tourists.
Quang Ninh Museum - Library is called "museum with millions of views" by many tourists because of its beautiful location on the shore of Ha Long Bay and unique architecture, becoming one of the most famous check-in points in Ha Long. The project is located next to 30.10 Square, designed by Spanish architect Salvador Pérez Arroyo and completed in 2013 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Quang Ninh province.
The highlight of the project is the shell covering about 14,000m2 of black glass, inspired by coal - a typical mineral of the Quang Ninh mining area. Seen from the outside, the building looks like a giant "black pearl" reflecting the image of the sea and sky and Ha Long Bay heritage, creating an impressive and distinctive appearance.
The complex of works includes three building blocks: museum, library and conference - exhibition area, connected by an elevated bridge system. The interior space preserves and displays thousands of artifacts about history, culture, nature, people of Quang Ninh, along with topics about the coal industry, culture of ethnic groups and local development stages.
