On September 4, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc received Mr. Huot Hak - Minister of Tourism of Cambodia and the working delegation to visit Ho Chi Minh City and attend events within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (ITE Ho Chi Minh City) 2025.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Minister and the working delegation, affirming that the presence of the delegation contributed significantly to the overall success of this year's fair.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc assessed that the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia are increasingly developing well.
Ho Chi Minh City is always considered one of the leading localities in the country in implementing exciting cooperation activities with Cambodia, especially with the capital Phnom Penh.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that Ho Chi Minh City aims to become a super-urban, an economic - industrial - logistics center of Southeast Asia, with the vision of "2 space - 3 areas - 1 special zone".
Along with that, effectively implement the $1 center - 4 high - 1 concentrated strategy". Of which, 1 center is formed as an international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City; 4 high-rise including: Multi-purpose High-Tech Center, High-Tech Industrial Park, High-quality Education, High-quality Healthcare; 1 focus is on investing in synchronous and modern transportation infrastructure and digital infrastructure.
Not only an economic center, Ho Chi Minh City also aims to become a livable place through a strong commitment to investment in healthcare, education, community health care and physical and intellectual development for the younger generation and workers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc suggested that the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism continue to participate and maintain the promotion booth at ITE HCMC in the coming years.
The two sides will strengthen cooperation in communication and tourism promotion on each other's channels. Every year, the ITE HCMC organizing committee will provide a policy to support a 15% reduction in participation fees for the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism with a booth scale of 36m2.
According to statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of Cambodian tourists to Vietnam in 2024 will reach about 475,000 and will reach more than 400,000 in the first 7 months of 2025.
