Tuy Loc is a mountainous commune in Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province. People live together, unite and help each other develop the economy and society. With customs and culture maintained from ancient times, it is an important basis and foundation for Tuy Loc commune to focus on developing cultural tourism and spiritual tourism.
Accordingly, the worship of Hung Kings in Phu Tho is the pride of the origin, associated with the tradition of wet rice agriculture, the will to be self-reliant and the spirit of solidarity against foreign invaders and natural disasters, creating the strength of Vietnam.
According to Party Secretary and Chairman of Tuy Loc Commune People's Committee - Hoang Quang Trong, Dinh Hoi, Tuy Loc Commune, Cam Khe District, Phu Tho Province will be the place to worship the 17th Hung King, Hung Nghi Vuong, and will be ranked as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic according to Decision No. 38/QD-UBND dated January 21, 1995 of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee.
The communal house still preserves a number of worship objects of rich artistic value, high aesthetic value, and historical and scientific value, including 10 royal decrees, leaving us with pride in our ancestors in the cause of building and defending the country during the Hung King era. However, up to now, the communal house's infrastructure is deteriorating and needs to be restored and embellished.
People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that in the traditional culture of Vietnamese villages, the communal house plays a very important and sacred role, where government agencies in ancient times were concentrated.
He also noted that the restoration and embellishment of the Communal House is a way to contribute to preserving the valuable cultural traditions from the Hung King period, which according to historical records, the Communal House worships the 17th Hung King.
Mr. Vuong Duy Bien also suggested to research and consult carefully to preserve as much of the ancient vestiges as possible for posterity and our descendants. With that meaning, the restoration and embellishment of Dinh Hoi is a very happy thing for the cultural sector and spreads in community life.
In addition, Mr. Vuong Duy Bien also noted that architects and builders in the process of restoration and embellishment need to pay attention to the opinions of culturalists and researchers on religion and spirituality to fully complete the meaning of this cultural work.
