Entering the summer tourism season of 2026, Ho Chi Minh City continues to affirm its position as one of the attractive destinations of the country when the number of visitors and revenue maintains positive growth momentum. Along with renewing products and improving service quality, the city's tourism industry is striving to improve the experience, extend the length of stay and the spending level of tourists.

Recorded at many famous destinations in the city center such as Ben Thanh Market, War Remnants Museum and Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, the number of domestic and international visitors is quite large. Many tourists spend time exploring architectural works, learning about history, culture and enjoying local cuisine.
Ms. Caroline (Australian tourist) said that this is her return to Ho Chi Minh City after about 20 years. According to this female tourist, the city is currently more vibrant and developed than before.
The city is much more crowded and also has more tourists. Ho Chi Minh City has many different cultures and many things to explore. This place has many activities, many attractions. The food is great, we really love Vietnamese cuisine" - Ms. Caroline shared.
To maintain the attractiveness of the destination, travel businesses in Ho Chi Minh City are promoting the exploitation of typical products such as river tourism, food tours, night tourism and cultural experiences associated with urban life.
Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the current orientation for tourism development in the city is to focus on improving service quality and increasing revenue from tourism, instead of just focusing on the number of visitors.
According to Mr. Hoa, the tourism industry is supporting businesses to continuously develop new products, innovate existing products and improve service quality to bring more experiences to tourists, thereby increasing spending and improving the economic efficiency of the industry.
In addition to traditional tourism products, many technology-applied products are also invested and developed by businesses to enhance the experience for tourists. In parallel, the city's tourism industry continues to promote and advertise activities in the international market to introduce new products and enhance the attractiveness of Ho Chi Minh City destinations.
