Not only bringing a new experience in the vibrant city, river bus tours, yachts on the Saigon River... also help people and tourists have moments of relaxation in the modern urban space.

The first time taking her family on a cruise on the Saigon River, Ms. Nguyet Minh (District 7) felt satisfied with this experience. "The scenery is very beautiful, the wind is cool and pleasant, and the children also enjoyed seeing the city from a new angle" - Ms. Minh said.

At the end of May, Dong Duong Sailing Fishing Company Limited resumed a tour to watch the sunset on the Saigon River, helping to better exploit the potential of the Saigon River. This tour quickly attracted the attention of people and tourists.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. An Son Lam - Director of Dong Duong Sailing Ship Company Limited said that in recent years, Ho Chi Minh City has organized the Song Nuoc Festival, contributing to creating a buzz and positive effects for waterway tourism. The city has also had a policy of focusing resources, placing waterway tourism as a focus for development. Thanks to that, tourism businesses also benefit.

"With this tour, the unit hopes to contribute to the overall development of the city's tourism, creating more highlights for Ho Chi Minh City. The new product also contributes to creating jobs for workers, increasing revenue for society and contributing more to the budget through taxes" - Mr. Lam commented.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that in the coming period when expanding boundaries, the city's tourism industry will focus on investing in and renovating technical infrastructure, connecting transportation, especially the waterway system and ferry terminals to serve diverse experiential tours.

In the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Waterway Tourism Development Plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the city will have at least 5 - 10 new, regular waterway tourism products and more than 10 waterway transport vehicles to serve tourists. The number of tourists traveling by water to Ho Chi Minh City increased by 10 - 15% over the same period.
