On July 13 and 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province organized training to update knowledge of managing travel business activities and tourist transportation for 70 trainees who are leaders, managers, and operators at businesses in the area.
This is aimed at updating knowledge, raising awareness and responsibility of businesses in complying with legal regulations on tourism, ensuring service quality, security, and safety for tourists.
At the same time, improve service skills, risk prevention capacity, and handling of arising situations. Strengthen coordination between state management agencies, police forces, the health sector and businesses, contributing to building a safe, friendly, and professional Tuyen Quang tourism environment.
During two days, trainees studied, exchanged and practiced 3 key topics.
The first topic is on legal regulations in travel service business associated with the management of tourist transportation, conveyed by a reporter from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The second topic is on ensuring security and safety in travel business activities associated with tourist transportation, conveyed by the Provincial Police reporter.
The third topic is on first aid in tourism activities, guided by health sector reporters. Trainees are directly trained in handling some hypothetical situations commonly encountered in the process of organizing programs and transporting tourists.
Trainees and reporters also spent time discussing, exchanging, and answering difficulties and obstacles arising in the practice of travel business and tourist transportation.
In recent years, the number of tourists coming to Tuyen Quang province has continuously increased, from which travel activities and service provision have also developed diversely, especially the form of transporting tourists to visit and experience the Dong Van Karst Plateau by motorbike.
Motorcycle experience tours not only require attractive landscapes but also high requirements for risk management and responsibilities of participating parties. Tightening management and improving service quality is expected to contribute to building a safe, professional and sustainable destination image.
Currently, Tuyen Quang province has about 27,000 workers related to tourism, of which nearly 9,000 people have been trained and fostered. The province has 3,050 retrained workers, 331 tour guides, including 41 international guides, 108 domestic guides and 182 spot guides.
Therefore, training courses, updating legal knowledge, improving management skills, organizing service and handling situations in travel activities will help build a safe and professional image and tourism environment in Tuyen Quang.
