In particular, visitors also have the opportunity to experience tailoring Ao Dai for 0 VND in Trach Xa village (Hoa Lam commune, Ung Hoa district).
The highlight of the program "Ung Hoa - Suburban Heritage Area" is the opening ceremony chaired by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Ung Hoa district, organized in Van Dinh town, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi on the evening of December 27.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Dang Huong Giang - Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism said that this special event is not only to honor the long-standing cultural and historical values of this land but also an opportunity to explore, share and spread the unique tourism potential of Hanoi in general and Ung Hoa district in particular.
According to Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Ung Hoa district has a rich culture and valuable historical heritage, and is one of the localities with great tourism potential. From historical, cultural, and religious relics to traditional craft villages, all contribute to creating an attractive, profound, and unique tourism picture.
“We are living in an increasingly connected and interconnected world, where tourism is not only an economic sector, but also a bridge between cultures, a means to understand and cherish traditional values. Today's event is an opportunity for us to introduce to visitors a Hanoi that not only has the Old Quarter, but also has potential suburban areas such as Ung Hoa with unique and attractive tourism products,” Ms. Dang Huong Giang emphasized.
At the event, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded the decision to recognize Quang Phu Cau incense stick craft village as a craft village with a history of making incense sticks that is over 100 years old.
The incense village is also oriented to develop into a tourist destination of the City, and has now been put into service through tourism programs such as Quang Phu Cau - The Life and Color.
In addition, Trach Xa tailoring was announced and awarded a decision to recognize intangible cultural heritage. This is considered the “cradle” of traditional ao dai with a history of more than 1,000 years.
The program aims to build and promote tourist destinations and unique tourism products associated with cultural values, heritage, relics and craft villages in Ung Hoa district in particular and Hanoi city in general. At the same time, improve the quality of destinations and develop tourism products associated with cultural and historical values, heritage and develop new tourism routes.
Through the program, the Capital Tourism Department hopes that in the coming time, Ung Hoa tourism as well as suburban districts will have many new and innovative tourism products, contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi tourism - Come to love. Thereby, attracting more and more tourists to Hanoi, affirming Hanoi as a leading city tourism destination in the world.
