According to the Singapore Tourism Border Management Board (STB), in 2024, the island will welcome 16.5 million international visitors, including more than 393,000 from Vietnam, helping tourism revenue reach 29.8 billion SGD.
Vietnam continues to be in the group of 15 largest source markets in Singapore, showing strong growth space in the high-quality customer segment.
Ms. Juliana Kua, Deputy Director General in charge of International Markets, Singapore Tourism Administration, said: Vietnam is one of Singapore's key markets and still has a lot of potential for development in the future. I hope that upcoming projects will enhance Singapore's appeal to Vietnamese tourists.
Singapore always strives to enhance the experience of tourists, along with strategic cooperation initiatives and creative promotion programs so that tourists can feel the unique combination of creativity and cultural identity.
Most recently, STB, Vietnam Airlines and sentosa Development Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation to promote tourism and expand connectivity between Vietnam and Singapore.
STB will coordinate with relevant units to implement activities to promote Singapore as an ideal destination for both resort and tourism from Vietnam.
Some other initiatives in the cooperation program include direct promotion on flights, organizing field surveys for industry partners, as well as participating in international tourism fairs.
