Series of events held in Vung Tau on the occasion of Lunar New Year
Tet is the beginning of the annual tourist season. With the cool coastal weather in early spring, Vung Tau always attracts a large number of tourists at this time. Therefore, the local government has made plans to be ready to welcome and serve a large number of spring tourists in the new year.
This year, a series of diverse festival events, designed to serve all ages and interests of people and tourists in Vung Tau, is considered the highlight of the 2025 Lunar New Year.
Among them, the event that many people are waiting for is the Spring Flower Festival at Quang Trung flower garden (Vung Tau city) with many unique perspectives of the new year of At Ty.
Along with that, there is the contest of decorating, designing spring cards and writing Vietnamese calligraphy for the year of the Snake 2025; Spring newspaper festival celebrating the Party - celebrating the year of the Snake 2025; Exhibition of photos and children's paintings "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the victorious Spring"; Exhibition of ornamental plants, ceramics, bonsai, ornamental plants; organizing booths of folk games on Tet holiday... held throughout from around January 20 to February 5 to serve people and tourists.
On New Year's Eve, the atmosphere is vibrant from 7pm with the Lion - Lion - Dragon performance and the drum performance that set a Vietnamese record; along with performances by singers, modern dance groups, bands... lasting until 10pm.
After that, the "Real Connection" Grand Concert with performances by famous artists and a brilliant fireworks display at New Year's Eve in the Front Beach area promises to bring memorable moments for people and tourists to welcome the new year in Vung Tau.
Carefully prepared for visitors to experience the festival
Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh - Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee - said that in addition to the plan to organize Spring and Tet programs, Vung Tau also implemented many solutions throughout before, during and after Tet, to ensure a safe, civilized and complete holiday for residents and tourists.
That is to strengthen the supervision of tourism activities; coordinate with relevant units to review and strictly inspect service businesses in the area. Violations such as price hikes, price gouging, or not posting prices are all strictly handled to protect the interests of tourists and preserve the image of local tourism.
Accommodation and food service establishments must commit to ensuring food safety and hygiene, fire prevention, and complying with regulations on service price registration.
At the same time, security and order in the area are also given top priority. At the beaches, rescue teams are fully equipped with modern equipment, ready to respond to emergency situations.
Traffic diversion, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation have also been planned to facilitate the implementation of activities in the area... These activities will always be implemented throughout the Tet holiday.
