Off-road vehicles and ATVs carrying passengers to experience the thrill of visiting the sand dunes at Bau Trang National Scenic Area are also an attractive tourist product.
Recently, ensuring the safety of tourists when riding these vehicles has been a public concern, especially as the Lunar New Year is approaching, many tourists will come to Bau Trang to visit and experience these off-road vehicles.
Many questions are raised: Are these vehicles registered and inspected for technical safety? Do the drivers have appropriate driving licenses?

Responding to reporters on this issue, the Department of Transport of Binh Thuan province said that through inspection, within the scope of Bau Trang National Scenic Area and adjacent areas, there are currently a total of 94 cars.
Of these, 28 vehicles have license plates and certificates of technical safety and environmental protection inspection (15 vehicles are still valid for inspection, 13 vehicles are expired), the remaining 66 vehicles do not have license plates or papers.
There are a total of 94 off-road vehicles, of which 37 vehicles have a Certificate of Technical Safety and Environmental Protection for Imported Specialized Motorcycles, and 57 vehicles do not have this Certificate.

In order to effectively manage vehicles and drivers, at the end of November 2024, Binh Thuan Provincial Police issued an official dispatch providing guidance on the case of motorbikes and cars operating to transport tourists to Bau Trang, including the conditions of the vehicle, the conditions of the driver, the responsibility of the vehicle owner and the driver to ensure order and traffic safety when transporting tourists.
Currently, the Department of Transport of Binh Thuan province has directed the Department of Transport, Vehicles and Driver Management together with the Binh Thuan Motor Vehicle Inspection Center to review and update current regulations on technical safety inspection and environmental protection of cars and specialized off-road motorbikes.
Previously, the People's Committee of Bac Binh district directed the Management Board of Bau Trang tourist site to inspect vehicles that meet operating conditions, organize serial numbering, attach separate codes, and operating time to control and distinguish during operation.
