The 2025 Lunar New Year holiday will last for 9 days, creating favorable conditions for tourists to participate in short and long-term tours. According to records, travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City are busy serving the increasing travel demand of people and tourists during Tet.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu - Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour Company said that the demand for travel during the Lunar New Year 2025 of tourists tends to increase, especially in big cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with an increase of about 25% compared to Tet 2024, most concentrated in the segment of family groups of 2-3 generations.
This year, the company has closely forecasted the market situation, so the company's plan to provide Tet tour services does not deviate from demand. At the same time, the preferential policy of buying tours early and buying in groups for tourists who book services early should limit the situation of many last-minute tours being unsold.
Mr. Pham Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Viet Travel Company said that according to statistics, the best-selling routes this Tet season are tours to the North (Hanoi, Ha Long, Sa Pa, Ninh Binh), the Central region (Da Nang, Hoi An). The favorite international destinations of tourists are Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan (China) ...
These itineraries all have cool or cold climates, suitable for different Tet experience needs of tourists and flexible in schedule, including both short and long term options.
"Currently, the Japan and Northern routes still have 10% vacancy. The tours to Korea, Taiwan (China), and Singapore have reached more than 80% of the plan," Mr. Anh Vu shared with Lao Dong Newspaper.
The trend of green tourism, connecting with nature and minimizing environmental impact is being favored by many tourists.
In addition, a trend that has exploded during this year’s Tet holiday is car tours to Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Da Lat, Vung Tau, Quy Nhon, etc. departing from Ho Chi Minh City; and Sa Pa, Ha Long, Ha Giang, Ninh Binh, etc. departing from Hanoi. This may be due to the high cost of airfares and convenient highways.
