Hien Vinh's cross-co country cycling journey (23 years old, An Giang) started on July 16. The boy born in 2002 said that his decision surprised Vinh's parents very much. However, the whole family supported because they understood the boy's personality.
The young man shared: "I am a young person of Gen Z, young and healthy. In the near future, Hanoi will organize many activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, so I think this is a meaningful occasion to end this journey of driving across Vietnam".
Every day, Hieu Vinh regularly wakes up at 5am, departs at 6:30am, stops at 11am to have lunch, and takes a break before continuing to depart at 1pm. In the afternoon, he found a place to rest and went to sleep at 9:30 p.m. As his body gradually adapted to the new pace of life, Hien Vinh was no longer sleepy while cycling and practiced the habit of living in moderation and absolute discipline.
A difficult cycling journey, overcoming many rains and suns, but Hien Vinh never thought of giving up, he shared: "I used to think about wanting to quickly end this cycling trip, but if so, I could not complete all the set goals. Therefore, I am determined to do it to the end".
On the way, Hien Vinh also encountered many incidents and received help and care from strangers he met on the road. It is that kindness that does not need replies that makes him even more in love with the country and people of Vietnam.
Currently, Hien Vinh has cycled to Thanh Hoa. After more than half of the journey, he still maintains good health, optimism, and enthusiasm for the ahead. Hien Vinh plans to participate in many activities when arriving in Hanoi on September 2.
