Social networks have been buzzing in recent days with the incident of the bride posting a complaint about a famous wedding decoration unit in Ho Chi Minh City "fraudulently" donating 300 million VND.
Accordingly, despite paying a huge amount of money, the family received the construction results "as a joke", making her big day incomplete.
According to the bride Viet Ha, due to her busy work, the couple trusted and entrusted all the decoration and construction supervision to a reputable wedding decoration unit. This unit previously performed the wedding for the couple Puka - Gin Tuan Kiet.
However, near the wedding day, the bride was overwhelmed when witnessing the actual construction results that were "a sky, a abyss" compared to the sparkling design that the unit had provided.
According to the bride, from the flower gate, the entrance to the festival, the photography area for the audience... to the actual festival stage, all are smaller, shallow and sketchy. The exposed iron frame and patchwork fomex made the entire wedding party unsightly.
Despite the incident, the ceremony still had to take place. The bride shared: "The construction site has ruined the most important and memorable moment of my life."
Even when the wedding ended, the wedding photos returned by the unit were not as expected. The most important parts of the party such as the bride's steps out, the engagement ceremony... could not be used due to construction errors.
Immediately, the bride reported to the representative of the decoration unit and suggested that the organizer be responsible for compensating for half of the contract value (about 150 million VND).
The owner of the organizing unit expressed his regret but only agreed to compensate 30 million VND. However, the bride Viet Ha did not agree with this compensation.
Previously, the organizer also disappointed when decorating the traditional ceremony. Because they were not carefully measured, the traditional gate was smaller than the real gate.
The bride had to spend more money to repair it, even though it was the fault of the construction unit. During the traditional ceremony, the fomex frame behind showed signs of collapsing.
Because of the urgent time and having paid more than half of the deposit, the bride could not change the new decoration unit.
On the afternoon of May 18, after the bride's post quickly spread on social networking sites, the unit representative once again contacted the bride with goodwill to reconcile.
Due to some arising issues, the bride asked the unit to compensate the entire amount, but once again, both sides could not find a common voice.
According to the bride, the owner of the wedding organizer told her that in the past few days, he has been criticized and attacked a lot. He had not eaten or slept for 4 days, so he hoped to resolve the matter peacefully.
However, the organizer shared that, although he admitted his mistake, he could not meet the bride's compensation request of 300 million VND, because in fact, the unit had spent a lot of money to place raw materials and construct.
Currently, the case continues to receive public attention.
The majority of opinions support the bride, requiring the construction unit to have an official apology and be responsible for contract compensation and additional compensation for mental losses.
However, some people expressed sympathy for the wedding organizer when they thought that the bride's compensation request was too high.
The bride Viet Ha shared that she intends to find a lawyer and file a lawsuit if the organizer has not yet been able to reasonably take responsibility.
