In the latest episode of the program "Son of a Husband and a Wife", the marriage story of Ms. Tuyet Em (1986, Dong Thap) and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cuong (1986, Ho Chi Minh City) brought many situations that were both witty and everyday, true to the spirit of the program: telling the real story, real emotions.
The couple first met at work. Mr. Cuong works as a machine operator, while Ms. Em works as a goods inspector. Both admitted that their first impression of each other was quite "unpleasant" - she was not sympathetic because he "watched" them, but he found her "difficult". However, chance dinner parties and drinking invitations with groups of friends gradually brought the two closer together. After 3 - 4 months, the two officially fell into each other, opening a love story with many improvisation.
When they were confident enough, one evening after work, they decided to stay overnight because the motel was closed. Although both of them confirmed that they initially only planned to " sleep overnight", the intimacy came very naturally. After that, Mr. Cuong said "responsible", while Ms. Em... moved things to live together from the next day. A quick but sincere ending, true to young couples living in a rented house, living realistically and not being secretive.
Their wedding is also associated with an unforgettable memory, the day of the wedding. Ms. Em said she was shocked by the groom... so drunk that she did not take a wedding procession by herself, so that her family could take care of her.
Entering married life, the couple faced many differences. Mr. Cuong said that his wife was messy and left it where it was, while he had to go after the cleaning. On the contrary, Ms. Em argued that although her husband was hard-working, he often avoided work by "going in the restroom for an hour and a half" every 10 times, causing the house to be congested.
In addition, Ms. Em admits that she is "difficult", especially when drunk. Once, after drinking with a group of girlfriends until late at night, seeing her husband's face grinning and uncomfortable, she "attacked" him because she thought she was being blamed. Mr. Cuong humorously recounted: "I ran from top to bottom to avoid it". When Em's friend came to see the situation, they were surprised that... the person who was "raped" was her husband.
The family's economy is taken care of by Ms. Em. Every day, she gives her husband enough money to spend, the rest she keeps and manages. Mr. Cuong hopes his wife will "less tighten" and be more comfortable with money; and she hopes her husband will "work happily" and reduce his gray face and sometimes clean up.
Despite many differences, both of them are grateful to each other after 13 years of living together. Mr. Cuong sent his thanks to his wife for accompanying and suffering many disadvantages. Ms. Em also promised to correct her messiness and curb her hot flashes. The moment the two hugged each other on stage ended the honest and warm story of a simple working-class family.
