Jason Pendant Quang Vinh's father is French and his mother is Vietnamese. After playing in the US and Ligue 2 (France), he returned to his mother's homeland to play for the Hanoi Police Club in the summer of 2024.
The midfielder is considered a great piece for the team's left wing. He has integrated quickly and shown the class of a player who has fought in the US and France (Ligue 2).
At the end of October 2024, the Hanoi Police Club began to promote the naturalization process for the overseas Vietnamese defender. Meanwhile, the Vietnam Football Federation also "gave the green light" to support Jason Quang Vinh to soon achieve his wish.
It is known that after he moved to play in V.League, his whole family returned to Vietnam to live with him. He is currently living in Hanoi with his parents, girlfriend and 2 children. This midfielder rarely shares about his personal life and does not make his girlfriend public on social networks.
VFF highly appreciates Quang Vinh's ability and he could be the next overseas Vietnamese player to contribute to the Vietnam national team.
In March 2025, the Vietnam national team will begin its journey in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. During these 2 months, the home club is rushing to complete the naturalization application. If qualified, Quang Vinh will likely be called up to the national team by coach Kim Sang-sik, adding a quality option on the left wing.
