Actor Jung Hae In frankly shared his feelings about coming from a noble family.

Recently, Korean actor Jung Hae In appeared on tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block.” Here, he mentioned his lineage as a descendant of Jung Yak Yong, one of the greatest thinkers of the late Joseon Dynasty and a powerful assistant to the 22nd King Jeong Jo.

Jung Yak Yong (stage name Dasan) was a philosopher, scientist, artist, author, and educator. With 500 books written during his 75 years of life, Jung Yak Yong is considered “the greatest scholar who left behind the most books since the invention of Chinese characters.”

He was also Joseon's top engineer, credited with building Hwaseong Fortress, now recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage.

Jung Hae In has long been known as the 6th generation direct descendant of the thinker Jung Yak Yong. Jung Hae In heard this a lot since he was young, because he lived with his grandparents and was told.

The actor confessed that at that time he did not really have an impression of his origin because he was young. But later, when studying history, Jung Hae In was very proud of his ancestors.

Jung Hae In humorously shared that he often sees videos with the content “The Teachings of Dasan Jung Yak Yong” on YouTube. Therefore, he also tells himself that he needs to pay more attention to his actions.

It is also reported that Jung Hae In's parents currently run a hospital. In addition, his father is a professor of ophthalmology at a Korean medical university.
