The couple met during the COVID-19 breakup, were in love for 4 years and had been married for 2 years, but both affirmed that they "ged not to change anything about each other".
Ms. Kimmy currently operates a clinic in Ho Chi Minh City, and collaborates with hospital doctors in the field of surgery and dentistry. Mr. Charles has retired and has lived in Vietnam for about 8 years. Before meeting his wife, he worked in the pharmaceutical - health care industry, in charge of marketing for large overseas corporations.
Their fortune began from the days they were "locked" in the apartment for 8 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the building where Kimmy lives, there is a female fitness trainer - her best friend. Mr. Charles was afraid of "losing his figure", so he proactively texted the coach to come and practice at home to stay in shape. From those coaching sessions, he coincidentally met Kimmy, at first he only saw a smiling, friendly foreign man but had not made a special impression.

One of the important factors that helps Kimmy feel secure towards marriage is the way he treats her son. He proactively asked to take his child to school every day, accepting to drive for 40 minutes from Binh Thanh to Thu Duc during traffic jams. He teaches and talks with the child like a biological father, becoming a solid support for the mother and child.
When she opened a new clinic, he was the one who came up with the design idea and supervised every detail, sometimes because of her gratitude, he was tense and loud. However, she understood that he wanted everything to be complete, not because he was disrespectful to his wife. Regarding finances, he bought real estate in Da Nang and let her name be on it, as a way to affirm his trust in his wife.
In his daily life, his biggest "bad habit" according to his wife is... being addicted to online shopping, especially shoes and clothes. On the contrary, she is very frugal, often the one who "brakes" shopping, reminding her husband "there is no need for this, don't buy more". The two of them therefore compensated each other, both maintaining personal happiness and not spending too much.
