At the beginning of the program, MC Ngoc Lan took a photo from the memory box. The photo captured the moment when Ms. Le Kim Chung was hugging her son who was lying on the hospital bed. According to Ms. Le Kim Chung, her husband passed away when she was 27 years old. Since then, she has become the pillar of the family, taking care of the house and raising the children alone.
Five years after her husband passed away, Le Kim Chung's son has become a 14-year-old teenager. Living in a neighborhood with many social evils, Chung's son was lured into using drugs.
Returning home after 6 months of drug rehabilitation, Ms. Chung’s son was once again dragged into the “wrong” path and almost lost his life at the beginning of the alley without her knowing. When Ms. Le Kim Chung discovered the incident, she sent her son to Phu Van for drug rehabilitation.
Ms. Le Kim Chung said: “I took my child to a drug rehabilitation center, first to save my child, second to save myself, because when there is an addict in the family, there are many things to be wary of.
Having joined the neighborhood group since 2000, I know the responsibility of a social worker to take my child to rehab. To eradicate social evils, we must start with prevention, especially drug abuse. The locality has also launched many movements and each family must be responsible for the behavior of their loved ones.

In the end, her son did not survive and passed away due to "white death". A year later, Ms. Le Kim Chung decided to apply to become a neighborhood security guard. Ms. Chung said that if you are just an ordinary citizen, it is quite difficult to arrest people who belong to a group of social evils.
So she decided to apply to become a neighborhood security guard and immediately started working. Before each meeting, Ms. Le Kim Chung often reads the news about crime prevention to everyone. In addition, Ms. Chung also participates in a volunteer social work team to help, manage and encourage people after drug rehabilitation.
For young people who have "lost their way", Ms. Chung also helps them rebuild their lives by lending them capital to start a business.
Especially with these people, everyone respects and calls Ms. Le Kim Chung by the affectionate name "mother".
Despite her contributions to society, Ms. Le Kim Chung has received many negative opinions, saying that she does such work because she has free time. However, Ms. Chung still ignores them and continues her work of "beautifying" society.
The next item in the memory box is a photo of a corner of Ms. Le Kim Chung’s house with hundreds of certificates and awards hanging “in neat rows” on the wall. According to Ms. Chung, she has been awarded nearly 300 certificates, awards and commemorative medals in the past.
Originally, Ms. Chung did not think that she did things to help others to be rewarded, but she just wanted to be a giver.
