Three days to take sister to the exam site
On the morning of June 9, when taking her daughter to the Tran Duy Hung Secondary School exam site (Cau Giay, Hanoi) to take the 10th grade exam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang suddenly encountered an emotional moment: A tall, thin boy led his younger sister to the school gate.
Before entering the exam room, the male student sent his sister to the volunteer team to ask for help.
"C catch that moment, I wanted to cry, then unconsciously lifted the camera to take a photo. I was touched by the brotherhood and determination of the boy," Ms. Hang shared.
To maintain a meaningful image, Ms. Hang posted the photo to the " Parents of Amsterdam" group, then shared it again on the "Accompanying" group and quickly received many compliments and sympathy from the community of parents with children taking the exam.
"When taking photos, I didn't think that moment would be loved by so many people. At first, I just wanted to share a beautiful photo and also to tell my husband about how to raise children. At nearly noon, a friend texted me that the photo had spread all over social media, surprising me," Ms. Hang added.
On social networks, many parents were moved to think that "the season is not only pressure but also the season of love". A series of wishes were also sent to the male student, hoping that he would achieve his dream wishes.

According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper, the young man in the photo is Nguyen Manh Duc, a student of class 9A3, Dich Vong Hau Secondary School (Cau Giay District, Hanoi). On the morning of June 9, Duc took the 10th grade IT exam at the Tran Duy Hung Secondary School exam site.
The male student said that because his mother was busy with her shift and could not return in time, he had to take his younger sister with him. In both previous public 10th grade entrance exams (March 7 and 8), the 7-year-old sister also followed the male candidate to the exam score.
"On the exam day, I woke up early to call my sister, then took her by bicycle to the exam site. Before entering the exam room, I asked volunteers or parents to help my sister. I will pick up my sister after work, then wait for her to finish her exams to go home together," Duc shared.
For Duc, although his younger sister is only in secondary school, she is a solid spiritual support, helping him to relieve some of the pressure in studying and life.
I consider my sister as a fairy sister, bringing good luck. When I held my hand and wished me a good exam, I felt more strength to pass this exam, Duc expressed.
This year, Nguyen Manh Duc registered his first wish to enter Yen Hoa High School - the school with the highest admission rate in Hanoi. After three days of taking the exam, Duc was quite satisfied with the results because the exam questions for all subjects followed the study program closely and matched the candidates' abilities.
Emotional message
Principal of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School - Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan - shared that Nguyen Manh Duc is a special student of the school. Duc was born in 2006, which is 4 years older than the 10th grade students this year.
In grade 8, after a family incident, Duc dropped out of school halfway. At that time, the school persuaded the family to let the male student continue to study but failed.
Three years later (2023-2024), Duc returned to school, studying again from grade 8 and this year took the 10th grade entrance exam.

According to Ms. Loan, Duc is a student with very good academic performance, achieving excellent results in both grades 8 and 9.
Duc has shown his courage not only through his scores but also through the way he handles the situation, with initiative, compassion and love, Ms. Loan commented.
On the afternoon of June 9, the official fanpage of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School also posted an emotional message: "Nguyen Manh Duc - a student who is not only good at being proficient, but also profound and kind. Thank you - for reminding us that maturity is when we know how to care for others, even when we are struggling for our own dreams".
