Pham Trang (20 years old, Ninh Giang district) traveled nearly 20km to Hai Duong city to join in the bustling atmosphere of the first day of the new year. To prepare for the photo shoot, Pham Trang brought along snow mai flowers and 2 outfits including a yem and ao dai to change into.
Pham Trang said: "The Ao Dai has always been an indispensable part of Vietnamese people every time Tet comes. I feel more confident and beautiful when wearing the national costume. Therefore, my friends and I decided to go get Ao Dai made to wear during Tet."
Like Pham Trang, Phuong Thao (20 years old, Hai Duong City) also prepared for this ao dai photo shoot many days ago. Phuong Thao chose the modernized ao dai because she thought it would enhance her beauty.
"The modernized ao dai has a dynamic, neat and uncluttered design, very suitable for spring outings. However, whether it is traditional or modernized ao dai, I feel proud and love Vietnamese culture when wearing it" - Phuong Thao shared.
Grasping the trend of people wearing Ao Dai during Tet, during Tet, streets, restaurants, cafes, etc. in the province are also brightly decorated and become ideal destinations attracting people to take photos.
Along with that, Ao Dai rental shops are also busy producing beautiful Ao Dai designs to serve tourists. According to research, each Ao Dai rental usually ranges from 100,000 - 200,000 VND. The shops also rent additional accessories such as wooden fans, headdresses, necklaces, pearl strings, bags... priced from 20,000 - 150,000 VND/item, depending on the type.
Not only young people but also children are bought Ao Dai by their parents for spring outings. On this occasion, many parents also let their children wear Ao Dai to take beautiful pictures. The colorful Ao Dai fluttering in the streets blending with the scenery and the sky creates an atmosphere full of vitality.
