In recent years, the trend of "leaving the city to return to the countryside" has become increasingly popular among young people. Leaving the noisy, suffocating city, many people want to find a peaceful countryside with fresh air to get close and immerse themselves in nature.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Manh and his wife Nguyen Thuy Tien (28 years old, Bac Ninh City) had an interesting experience when living for 2 months in Quy Nhon as a coastal resident. Despite the difficulties and inconveniences, both affirmed that this was an extremely unforgettable memory in their youth.

"We want to leave the bustling city, find a deserted sea, live with the people, experience a peaceful life in the fishing village, and watch their slow life every day," Ms. Tien shared.
Ms. Tien and her husband drove their own car from Bac Ninh to Quy Nhon, passing through famous landmarks such as Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang, Phu Yen: "From Bac Ninh to Quy Nhon, it only takes 18 hours to drive with a distance of 1,100km. That is just enough distance for people who are traveling by car for the first time like us".
According to Ms. Tien, the couple lived from March to May 2024 at Ba's House homestay in Cat Tien, Quy Nhon. During that time, what left her with the deepest impression was the peaceful, slow scenery and pace of life.

"The scenery in Quy Nhon is very beautiful, the sea is blue, the air is fresh. We often spend the whole day sitting in the yard, under the shade of the ancient Tra tree, spreading out a wide canopy to shade, playing a little unspoken music and enjoying a relaxing feeling," Ms. Tien excitedly shared.
In addition, the scenery of the fishing village with winding small alley roads, a simple, charming traditional market, and a small, pretty restaurant also made Ms. Tien and her husband excited.
"Early in the morning, right in front of the room we live in, dozens of boats carrying the seafood are brought to shore, fresh. We often wake up early to buy seafood directly from boats to cook breakfast or lunch. The sunrise at sea is wonderful, the moment the sky lights up, the sparkling sunlight on the water surface really makes me feel moved and love this life more," said Ms. Tien.

Not only the scenery, the people here also left unforgettable impressions on the female tourist couple: "The people here are very warm and friendly. When I first arrived, I was not used to the local sound here, it took me a week to hear and understand what they were saying. The brothers and sisters at the homestay invite us to eat together every day, considering ourselves a family member".
Because the homestay is far from the city center, there are almost no entertainment services such as cinemas, supermarkets, snacking shops, etc. Ms. Tien and her husband often go to the city once a week to buy food for pets, go to see movies, and buy some necessary items and food.
Ms. Tien thinks this will be a big inconvenience for people who like to be crowded and bustling, but she and her husband are quite comfortable because they can enjoy the quiet space.

To prepare for the two months of living in Quy Nhon, Ms. Tien and her husband have arranged work to be able to work remotely. Luckily, both are freelance graphic designers, so their work schedules are quite free and flexible.
In addition, both of us must also pay attention to ensuring our health to be able to travel long distances: "Because we have to travel long distances from Bac Ninh to Quy Nhon, we have to sleep early and wake up early to drive 3 hours a day. This helped me get rid of the bad habit of surfing online late at night and waking up late the next morning."
Both prepared 5 - 7 million VND for gasoline, bridge and hotel rental during the trip from Bac Ninh to Quy Nhon (4 days), 12 million for 2-month house rental. In addition, expenses such as food and entertainment are not too different from normal life before.

Ms. Tien said that friends and family were quite surprised, and somewhat objected when they learned that she and her husband would be in Quy Nhon for 2 months. The female tourist often received questions like "Quy Nhon has been gone for 4-5 days, why stay for 2 months? , "If you have a house and don't live in it, why go back and forth to Quy Nhon"...
"Only we know exactly what we want. I want to explore and live slowly in the places I come to. The way I travel is more relaxed, slow and exploratory, not just checking in at places. So I am very excited about this trip and it has truly become a bright spot in our youth", Ms. Tien affirmed.

In the future, both of them hope to continue to try their lives in other locations such as Vinh Hy, Phu Yen, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc.
"I will live there for about 2-3 months. Vietnam really has many beautiful landscapes. I will go and find a place I want to live when I am old," the couple shared.
