The new episode of the program "You Want to Date," Quyền Linh and Ngọc Lan paired Nguyễn Tiểu Trí (34 years old, Cần Thơ) with Trương Thị Bích Ngọc (31 years old, TPHCM).
Mr. Trí is currently a software developer, while his girlfriend teaches in the field of Biotechnology at a university.
Mr. Trí introduced himself as a diligent person, willing to learn and help others to bring joy. However, he is not satisfied with himself in terms of being impatient and hasty. He has become aware of this and is working to improve himself.
He said his love life has been a bit tumultuous. For him, falling in love must be certain. However, this has made it difficult for him to choose the person he loves.
During his high school days, he had a carefree and carefree relationship, without thinking much about the future. In his next relationship, Mr. Trí was no longer a high school student. This is the relationship he wants to forget the sadness and loneliness, and "choose at random" a partner. Ultimately, they ended after a month of getting to know each other.
On the other hand, Bích Ngọc is a kind, honest, responsible, and simple girl. As an introvert, she finds it difficult to initiate conversations and make friends with strangers. Sometimes, she thinks too much, causing herself to be confused.
She has never had a romantic relationship. Through the program, she hopes to meet a boyfriend who is kind, responsible, empathetic, loving, and considerate. She dislikes selfish, authoritarian, and hot-tempered people. After hearing his sharing, Mr. Trí felt that he could meet some of her requirements.
Mr. Trí's wish is to have a girlfriend who is charming, always listens, and understands. Due to his busy work schedule, Mr. Trí may forget some things or suffer from "occupational disease." Therefore, he wants a girlfriend who can be understanding and patient with him. Additionally, he wants a girlfriend who is also introverted so that they can share their thoughts when facing life's pressures.
Mr. Trí mentioned that he has not prepared a gift due to his busy schedule. However, he proposed inviting his girlfriend to eat and watch a movie to make up for it, if possible. On their first meeting, Bích Ngọc found Mr. Trí to be kind, honest, and straightforward in sharing his thoughts.
Regarding marriage, the female lecturer wants the couple to respect each other, express their thoughts openly, and take responsibility for building their relationship. Additionally, she wants her husband to manage the household finances, work together, and take care of the children.
Mr. Trí believes that the first thing in marriage is for the couple to be happy with each other. Next, they must be honest and transparent in their financial matters.
Mr. Trí has plans to return to his hometown after getting married, but he is not certain about this plan. When asked if his girlfriend would agree to move to his hometown with him, he received the response: "At that time, it will depend on the feelings of both parties, and I will decide and answer later."
Finally, both Mr. Trí and Bích Ngọc decided not to press the button. Both of them stated that they did not feel a sense of excitement when being near each other.
Mr. Trí said that he was self-conscious about himself, fearing that he would not meet some of the requirements and could not make his girlfriend happy, so he did not press the button.
