Practicing yoga can bring a feeling of relaxation and energy recovery, but many people who practice it for a long time still do not improve. The reason sometimes lies in small habits that greatly affect the effectiveness of the workout.
Yoga is a sport that requiresence, attention and correct technique. Many students do not realize that just having a wrong breathing rhythm or ignoring the warm-up is enough to put the body under unnecessary pressure, yoga expert Siddhaa Akshar, Himalaya Yoga Center (India) shared.
Warm-up via loudspeaker
Many people spread the mat on the ground and immediately entered a difficult position, causing the muscles and joints to not be able to adapt. According to expert Akshar, warm-up movements such as Bhujangasana, light spinal rotation, Pavanmuktasana or on-site movements help warm the body, improve blood circulation. Warm up for 5-10 minutes can significantly reduce the risk of injury.
Inasynchronized breathing
Breathing plays a rhythmic role in movement, but many people breathe quickly, shortly or disjointedly between positions. When breathing and movement are in harmony, the body becomes more stable and the mind is more present, says expert Akshar. Basic principle: inhale when opening the body, exhale when con creasing.
Skipping time to relax
Many people roll up the carpet right after practicing, but Shavasana and Yoga Nidra are important recoveries. They help lower your heart rate, relax your nervous system, and relieve stress. If you are uncomfortable while lying, you can sit up straight, close your eyes and relax your body.
Pressure must be perfect
Comparing the body to a long-time practitioner can easily create stress. Yoga is not a physical race but a journey to understand your body. Adjust your movements, divide your difficult postures and prioritize comfort.
Try to endure the pain
Feeling slightly tight is normal, but sharp pain or prolonged pain is a sign to stop. Suffering can cause muscle tension, ligament damage and long-term effects.
When these mistakes are eliminated, practitioners will clearly feel the benefits of yoga: more flexible body, more gentle mind and more stable spirit every day.
