On October 31, the Ministry of National Defense issued Instruction 4705/HD-BQP on selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.
Accordingly, in Section 3 of Instruction 4705/HD-BQP in 2024, instructions on selecting and calling female citizens to join the army in 2025 are as follows:

e) On the selection and calling of female citizens for military service in 2025
In addition to the general conditions and standards as for the selection and calling of male citizens for military service, female citizens must have a voluntary application to serve in the Army, confirmed by the family representative and the People's Committee of the commune where they permanently reside, and meet the following specific conditions and standards:
- Age: From 18 to 25 years old; citizens who have graduated from college or university are from 27 years old; unmarried and have no children.
- Health: Meet health standards of type 1 and type 2 according to Circular No. 105/2023/TT-BQP; height is from 1.60m or more, balanced appearance, fresh appearance.
- Technical expertise: Graduated from intermediate level or higher; priority is given to citizens who have graduated from university or college with a training major suitable for the needs of the Army. In case of talent, it will be implemented according to separate regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.
Units assigned with the quota of recruiting female citizens to join the army, proactively coordinate with localities to select and ensure that they meet the prescribed conditions and standards; are recruited in localities nationwide (recruitment separately) and are included in the 2025 recruitment quota of the locality and unit; after recruitment, coordinate and hand over to the Hanoi Capital Command (for units in the North), the Military Region 7 Command (for units in the South) for training, ensuring that all procedures and documents are completed, on time, absolutely safe and that military numbers are managed in accordance with regulations.
Agencies and units under the Ministry assigned with the quota for recruiting female citizens shall direct their agencies and units to closely coordinate with localities to organize the selection of female citizens for military service, ensuring that they meet the prescribed conditions and standards, and shall be responsible to the Minister of National Defense for the quality of female citizens enlisted in the unit.
Thus, according to the latest instructions of the Ministry of National Defense, the height standard for military service in 2025 for women is from 1.6m or more, with a balanced appearance and a fresh appearance.
