On December 6, YG Entertainment officially announced that the group Baby Monster will expand its tour to Asian countries from May 2025.
YG confirmed that the group will have 4 more performances in Singapore on May 17, Hong Kong (China) on May 24 and Bangkok (Thailand) on June 7-8.
“In order to repay the love and support of our fans, we have decided to hold additional concerts in Asia. The members want to connect with fans all over the world. So in addition to the announced schedules, we plan to visit many other regions. Please look forward to Baby Monster in the near future" - YG Entertainment announced.
With this new schedule, Baby Monster members will meet fans in 10 cities with 19 performances.
Baby Monster will kick off their tour with a concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, on January 25-26. They will also hold concerts in Newark and Los Angeles in the United States, and Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka in Japan.
Despite successfully holding fan meetings in several Asian countries, Baby Monster members still make audiences skeptical about the group's world tour. The reason is that Baby Monster has just debuted and the group's song list is a bit small to hold grand concerts.
In addition, Baby Monster's concert scheduled to be held at KSPO Dome - the third largest stadium in Seoul with a capacity of 8 - 10,000 attendees - has also raised many conflicting opinions. Many people are skeptical about whether Baby Monster can fill the seats for 2 days of performance because the group has only been active for a little over a year and does not have a large fan base.
Some viewers also believe that this is a strategy of YG Entertainment. Others believe that YG may hire audiences to fill the seats - this is also considered a way of promoting Baby Monster.
Previously, Baby Monster released their full-length album "Drip" in November 2024. The album received praise for its diverse musical styles, including the title tracks "Drip" and "CLIK CLAK". The group also released the MV "Love In My Heart" as a thank you to fans, while also teasing the MV for the song "Really Like You".
